Radford University football was unable to escape the Tiger clutch from Hargrave Military Academy's coach Robert Prunty. The Tigers were able to put the pressure on Radford's quarterback, Michael Massey, the entire game, but not before throwing a 45 yard bomb early in the first quarter.

Defensive Stand-outs for the Radford squad were Strong Safety, Jacob Nichols, Outside Linebacker Justin Coulter, and Roamer, Steve Schrank. The Schrank-Nichols tandem gathered a majority of the team's tackles, delivering punishing blows to Hargrave's backfield. Veterans Matt Bales and Jared Pugh proved their dedication to the gridiron with a strong performance against the Tigers.
